THHYE offers free weekly technology workshops for seniors and elderly residents across Delaware County and Dublin — teaching smartphones, video calls, scam prevention, and more.
THHYE — Technology Helping Hands for Youth and Elderly — is a student-led nonprofit dedicated to making technology accessible for older adults in the Columbus metro area.
We believe every person deserves to feel confident with technology. Our volunteers sit one-on-one and in small groups with seniors, walking through real-world skills in a patient, judgment-free environment.
All workshops are completely free, open to all skill levels, and held at accessible community locations including the Delaware County District Library Orange Branch and Dublin Public Library branches.
Practical, hands-on sessions designed for real life — no tech jargon, no judgment, just learning at your pace.
Learn the fundamentals of using your phone — calls, texts, apps, settings, and keeping your battery healthy. We work with both iPhones and Android devices.
Connect face-to-face with family and friends through FaceTime, Zoom, and Google Meet. We'll walk you through every step until you feel comfortable.
Recognize and avoid phone scams, phishing emails, and fraudulent texts that target seniors. Know the warning signs and how to protect yourself.
Stay connected with loved ones on Facebook, Instagram, and more. We'll show you how to share photos, find groups, and manage your privacy settings safely.
